Jocourt customise design to suit individual requirements of a subject site, a client’s needs or a combination of both.

Typically, we are presented with a concept or working drawings from a potential client and are asked to provide a quotation. In this situation we often find this path includes many errors and omissions, which can cause significant delays and/or issues during both documentation and building phases of the project. Jocourt’s documentation standards are high, but ultimately need to be fit for purpose. There’s a saying ‘’you build a house twice! Once on paper, once on the ground’’. In our experience, many people don’t worry about the detail and largely go straight to step 2. Our approach is to be proactive, which is why we like to take on the Working Drawing development and engage with our preferred consultants.


Sloping Sites

To make the most of the natural features of a sloping site, a customised approach allows the freedom to tailor a design allowing careful consideration to the most appropriate orientation, natural light, surrounding views, privacy, drainage, accessibility and the overall aesthetics.

Many builders are not interested in the challenges of working on a sloping block, whereas Jocourt thrive on this and the opportunity to add unique character and value to your project.

Knock it down, build it new.

Knocking down an existing home and rebuilding can offer the best of both worlds, allowing you to stay in your current neighbourhood and with a blank canvas you can build your custom forever home exactly as you want it.

Townhouses / Duplexes

Jocourt tend to focus on side by side or front and back townhouse sites of up to 2 units. Whilst we have worked on much larger sites, we prefer to focus on smaller boutique developments up to three storeys high. We consider this style of construction our niche and it’s what gets our juices flowing. It is an area where our skills really demonstrate an eye for detail and the ability to add value with the critical nature of detailed job planning and time management.
